Support groups

Two journeys. One supportive community.

Our therapist-led support groups offer a safe, warm and non-judgemental space to explore the changes, challenges and joys of pregnancy and early motherhood – with women who truly understand.

The Fourth TrimesterPostpartum support group

Suitable for mothers up to one year postpartum

When the group meets

Tuesday evenings, 6 - 7.30pm

3rd November - 8th December

While we do everything we can to prepare ourselves to welcome a new baby, it can look and feel different than we imagined. At times, it can be overwhelming and isolating, as we adjust to surviving on very little sleep and a complete change of lifestyle. At Shared Motherhood, we provide a space for women to be honest and vulnerable while feeling safe and supported.

Each week we will explore a different topic together, including, but not limited to:

  • Welcoming a new baby
  • The mental load
  • Body image
  • Our changing identity
  • Relationships
  • Our support systems
  • The importance of attachment in the first year
  • Feelings of isolation, fear, guilt and anger
